A big advocate of continuing education, he usually takes 2-3 times the hours required for licensure, focusing on clinical topics such as oral medicine, endodontics (root canals), surgery, and restorative procedures.

Dr. Tom has always been active in the Berkshire and Massachusetts Dental Societies of the American Dental Association, having held the Berkshire positions of Continuing Education Chair, Treasurer, and Chair of the district. He enjoys gardening, landscaping, and fixing up his home, yard, and machinery. He is very active in Pittsfield city government, currently serving as Vice Chair of the Conservation Commission and Chair of the Airport Commission.
